Is the playstation 3 region free, if i bought one in america would it work in england? Is it compatible with english games?

For movies - no, it will only play region A
For games yes.

Getting a region A player ain't bad, I have one, about to get my second. They are superior to region B players as:

a) you get the movie earlier (earlier release date)
b) it's cheaper (usually by about 40%)
Movies are like 40AUD here v 20ish USD there so if you buy like even one from amazon, you save a few dollars.

You have to import your titles from the states though, minor inconvienience in my opinion.

I'd never recommend a region B or C player to anyone.
My 2 cents.

But if you're NEVER going to play a blu-ray disc movie, and can beat around 500USD on price (buying from uk) then go for the uk version.

Absolutely free no sign up things or anything

Im a college student and used to play games a lot and was not able to bring any systems to college im pretty good, if needed i could be a tester, i just have a lot of free time and have a job but all my money is going towards my education so if someone would like to help me out that would be great

There is no such thing as "free" in this world.

If you come across ads that say you "won" a free PS3, run away. What they ask you to do, once you click on the ad, is to buy from their sponsers. So you have to spend a lot of money just to receive your "free" PS3. In the end, you probably will end up paying MORE than the actual cost of the PS3, not to mention the wait time to receive it in the mail.

The reason ads do this is because they get a generous percentage from their sponsers. The usually get 3-4 times more than what it costs them for the PS3.

If you want the PS3 when it comes out, preorder it. I estimate that the quantity will be far less then the demand and will run out (like when the XBOX 360 first came out.)

A simple question: Where can i get a free PS3?

Just buy one cheepskate, its well worth the money, with all the features you get with it out of the box compared to the 360, the 360 costs 1.57 times as much as the PS3, making it a great deal.

I really enjoy playing games and this suxs not being able to afford one, cuz am a big gamer and I been looking for a job but got no call backs yet.Does anyone know if sony gives away Ps3's free at all?

My sister's friend said she is getting one for free for filling out a couple of forms from a website. I will let you know when she gets it. My kids already have one, we spent about 500.00 on it for Christmas. They love it (a little too much). They also have a Nintendo Wii, but I feel like they like the Playstation more. 500.00 is a lot of money for a system, but the graphics are incredible. Good Luck, I hope you get one!

I actually got my PS3 about a week ago, but life has been throwing a few curveballs lately. I’m sure alot of you can relate…

So look, I know their are skeptics out there..but here is the proof.

Some of you have had some issues getting credit for completing your offer requirements. Here are the main and most frequent solutions to this problem.
